I have enjoyed the Crystal Coast since I was a small child by spending weekends and summers here with my family. Originally from Kinston, North Carolina, I became a full time resident of the Crystal Coast after graduating from Peace College and Appalachian State University. I take pleasure in my work! When I am not at work, I do enjoy spending time with friends and family, time on the boat and in the sun, and cooking!

I am dedicated and committed to quality service and customer satisfaction. In 2002 and 2003, I met my goal of achieving the CENTURION © Award in the CENTURY 21 © System. By increasing my production, I achieved the Double CENTURION Award in 2004 and 2005, ranking 15th and 11th respectively in production for North and South Carolina CENTURY 21 Agents. In 2006, I again proudly achieved the CENTURION Award for my production. My real estate career began in Kinston, North Carolina in 1983.  Helping others has always been important to me.  I loved helping buyers find that first home, helping growing families find larger homes. working with newcomers, and especially seniors sizing down or moving closer to family.  I was among the top producers and also served as President of the Board of Realtors.

Emerald Isle has been part of my life since early childhood, which was during the ferry days. I grew up vacationing here; and as a teenager coming on the weekends.  I knew one day I would live at the Beach.  After marrying and having two children, we were able to buy a getaway at Emerald Isle.  This was a dream come true.  It's a great way to spend more time with your kids and meet their friends.

After my husband died in 1994 and my kids were on their own, I moved to Emerald Isle and started a new life and career with CENTURY 21 Coastland Realty, a great company and a great move for me.  Working at the Beach is such a fun market.  I love helping buyers find that perfect second home or just the right investment property.  I especially love when customers come back to me or refer a friend or family member.  What a compliment!  My office wall display achievements and awards I have earned; my favorite are quality service awards and Centurion.

When I am not working, I'm playing.  I like yoga, tennis, dancing, reading on the Beach, and I am the greatest grandma.  My work has enabled me to meet so many people and make so many friends. I love what I do and also try to do my best.  Let me put my best to work for you.

I know that at times we think of selling out and moving to the coast but for one reason or another we put it off.  I know because I put it off for 5 years.  Each day I could not be in Emerald Isle, I was thinking about; “What can I do to get my family to Emerald Isle”!

I grew up in Greensboro NC, but after a few vacations at Emerald Isle; I caught the fever!  That was in the late 70’s early 80’s.  I would go home after each visit to Emerald Isle and wish that I was still there, fishing or experiencing many of the other water sports available.  Being in my 30’s and much too young to retire, I decided to make use of my Real Estate Brokers License which I obtained while attending Jamestown Comm. College and living in Greensboro.
In April of 1984, I could not take it any longer!  I packed and moved my family to Emerald Isle, and we have never looked back!  My only daughter Kimberly was 5 at the time and she loves it here!  Kimberly attended school and grew up in Emerald Isle.  I now have two grandchildren; Hunter 13 and Erica 7.  They live in Swansboro, NC which is just across the bridge.  Both of my grandchildren are very active in sports and are honor roll students; as you might guess, I am very proud of them!
Over the past 20 years I have helped a great many customers become owners, many just like you, looking for that special getaway at the beach or retirement home.

Hello, my name is Doug Warren and I have been a real estate broker in this market since 2002 and have spent all of my time with Century 21 Coastland Realty. It's a great place for me. There's a family atmosphere and everyone has constancy of purpose: exceed our clients' and customers' expectations. And that fits in with my background as a former manufacturing management professional.

When I'm not focused on helping folks get the best values in real estate, I like to spend time with my wife and two sons. Music is a favorite past time for me. I play guitar, mandolin, and harmonica. My wife is an avid knitter and when she stops being a speech therapist, she'll join me in real estate and we'll be the "Knit Pickers". My two boys are also into music and play saxophone and trumpet in school and community bands.

My wife, Tricia, grew up here and now has her own business, a Pilate's Studio.  We have three children, ages 13, 10, and 9.  Our family is involved in the community through church, sporting activities and the local schools, which are, ranked some of the highest in the state.  We enjoy the quality of life this area offers the beach, boating, fishing, sunsets, friends and family.
